Classroom Conversion

Princeton Engineering Services, PC (PES) providing design and engineering services for the room conversion/upgrades of the existing room 499 (Home Economics) into a new Classroom.

The original building was completed around the 1968. The main entrance to the building is located at the north facing the Lafayette Ave. The building is surrounded by residential buildings and the public buildings. The school serves ninth to twelve grades and is part of the school district #08. There are six schools in the rectangle-shape 4-story (plus pipe & duct space) brick building. The school’s site includes a large parking area and landscaping as well.

The school footprint is approximately 79,500 square feet. The exterior walls of the building consist of brick with backup masonry, and the structural system is a combination of concrete slab and beams construction. There are two passenger elevators in this school.

Room 499 is located at the corner of the school along Pugsley Ave. and currently serve as Home Econ classroom. The school requested this space to be outfitted with a smart board with computer package, wireless port, voice/data drop, classroom furniture to accommodate 32 students; storage spaces, new VCT flooring, new lighting fixtures, new painting board, white board; a science counter with sink.
